• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts for operational project business • Supporting grid connection agreements, reservation agreements, BKZ/cost-sharing agreements and grid-related correspondence • Providing legal support for M&A, joint venture, co-development and project acquisition agreements • Reviewing and further developing EPC, OEM, O&M, marketing/offtake, service and employment contracts • Establishing and maintaining contract templates, legal checklists, process standards and decision memos • Coordinating external specialist law firms, in particular in energy law, grid regulation, construction law, corporate law, M&A and employment law • Supporting management in negotiations, committee/board submissions and strategic individual legal matters

Job Requirements

  • Fully qualified lawyer with First and Second State Examinations (Staatsexamen)
  • Ideally 2–4 years’ professional experience in a law firm, legal department, energy/infrastructure company, project development or transaction environment
  • Admission as a lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) or Syndikusrechtsanwalt desirable; alternatively willingness to apply for admission
  • Strong legal skills in contract review, contract drafting and negotiation
  • Interest in the energy industry, infrastructure, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), grid connection, project development and M&A
  • Commercial mindset: clear risk analysis, pragmatic solutions and decisive communication
  • Very good German language skills and good English language skills

Role Description Redwire Space, Inc. is seeking a Vice President, Associate General Counsel to play a key role in guiding Redwire through its next phase of growth. This role will provide expert support on areas of employment law in support of transactions and litigation matters at the business unit and corporate level. The role will also provide generalist support on a wide variety of other subjects, including corporate policies, transactions, and governance matters, offering sound judgment, strategic counsel, and practical solutions in a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive, business-minded attorney who can navigate complexity, manage competing priorities, and build strong relationships across the organization. Collaboration, clarity, and adaptability will be essential to your success. This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary. It is primarily remote, with preference for candidates within commuting distance of our San Luis Obispo or Goleta, California offices. Reporting to the Senior Director, International Commercial Legal, this position will be ideal for a self-sufficient and resourceful mid-level attorney located in Munich, Germany. What You Will Be Doing - Primarily responsible for negotiating and structuring a wide variety of commercial contracts (including Cloud/SaaS and Software Subscription agreements, Professional Services agreements, Data Processing Agreements and associated schedules ensuring compliance with the GDPR), in support of our Sales and Partner organizations in the Central Region (Austria, Germany and Switzerland). - Support the Sales & RFP teams during procurement processes, reviewing ITT/RFP requirements, drafting legal responses, and advising on proposed terms and conditions. - Engage closely with Elastic’s Central Region Legal lead based in Munich, Germany, the wider Legal Department spread across the USA, EMEA and APJ and Elastic’s go-to-market stakeholders e.g. finance and compliance organization. - Supporting EMEA & Global Legal team members on ad hoc projects – as directed. - Keeping abreast of relevant legal and regulatory developments and proactively advising key stakeholders on their implications. - Help to build and strengthen workflow processes between the Legal Department and other departments within Elastic to enable dealmaking and compliance initiatives.
