Role Description During this important phase in our business growth, VCS is seeking a highly skilled and organized Business Intelligence Manager to lead a team of skilled analysts. In this role, you will serve as both a hands-on leader and strategic manager, driving critical data governance and analytics initiatives while guiding a high-performing analytics team. Advancing our journey, you will leverage automation and scalable solutions to establish and maintain a trusted single source of truth for VCS data, empowering stakeholders with the tools and insights needed to make informed decisions and reducing reliance on ad hoc reporting. As a team leader, you will provide strategic direction and mentorship across the Sales Metrics Analysts, Business Analysts, and Product Analyst functions within VCS, ensuring alignment on priorities, data standards, reporting practices, and analytical insights that support organizational objectives and drive continuous improvement. By providing a bridge between the sales department and other business units, such as marketing and finance, you will play a crucial role in aligning organizational goals with sales objectives. This role will be stimulating and rewarding for those who are drawn to a career that melds analytical thinking with operational excellence and who thrives in roles that support and elevate both team and overall business performance. What You Will Do - Architectural Leadership: Design and partner with engineering to deliver high-performance tables, dynamic views, and data pipelines, ensuring optimal query performance and scalability for Fulfillment Data Consumers. - Strategic Dashboarding: Develop sophisticated, "at-a-glance" visualizations in Looker that translate trends and efficiencies into actionable insights. - AI Integration: Leverage Snowflake Cortex to deploy LLM-powered functions or predictive forecasting directly within our data platform. - Domain Expertise: Analyze complex data to optimize fulfillment metrics, propose changes to our planning strategies, or help our fulfillment centers run more optimally. - Provide leadership oversight to ensure that—across all the programs we're working on throughout VCS and with our cross-functional stakeholders—we prioritize our work and resources effectively, measure impact, and deliver results. - Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as a consultant to leaders across Product Management, Sales, Finance, Systems Integrations, and others, transforming vague business questions into rigorous analytical frameworks and developing mutually beneficial working relationships. Qualifications - 7–12 years of progressive experience in data analytics or business intelligence, with a background in technical project/program management or product management. - 3+ years of experience building and managing a team. - Expert-level proficiency in SQL. - Experience with JIRA and Advanced Dashboarding platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma). - Hands-on experience (or strong theoretical knowledge) with Snowflake Cortex functions (e.g., COMPLETE, EXTRACT_ANSWER, SUMMARIZE) or similar SQL-based AI tools. - Ability to work alongside senior leadership to set the tooling and system vision, improving operational efficiency and the overall quality of operations. - Experience collaborating with product organizations, finance, and other business functions to design, implement, or integrate technical solutions. - Experience communicating and translating non-technical to technical (and vice versa) requirements and discussions, as well as coordinating and running multiple organizational projects. - The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, often with competing priorities, both as an IC and for your team. - A keen eye for continuous optimization and the ability to discern the urgency and importance of work, find creative ways to use the full potential of our existing tools, and advocate for novel solutions. - The ability to analyze data to identify the largest strategic opportunities for the organization and use data-driven insights to provide high-impact recommendations. Nice to Have - Familiarity with commercial business models and processes, including customer lifecycle management, sales and service operations, commission structures, and performance measurement. - Python, SQL, Quantum Metrics, and Google Analytics. - Experience with Snowflake, AWS, and SAP. - Experience using DBT for transformation. - Experience using GIT. - Experience using Looker.
