Job Description
Power BI Implementation Consultant
Vigil
• Managing the end-to-end rollout of new Power BI dashboards to business end users across Sales and Finance functions. • Coordinating and overseeing user acceptance testing, ensuring dashboards are validated before full deployment. • Supporting users in transitioning from static legacy reports (IBM Cognos) to interactive Power BI dashboards, driving adoption and reducing friction. • Capturing issues raised by end users, prioritising resolution with the development team, and tracking outcomes through to completion. • Identifying unmet reporting and information needs within the business and feeding structured requirements back to the development team. • Owning communication between end users and IT, ensuring feedback loops are clear, consistent, and followed through. • Engaging stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors in sales to senior finance leadership, with confidence and clarity. • Conducting training and enablement sessions to accelerate user adoption and reduce dependency on legacy tooling.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing the rollout or implementation of Power BI within an organisation, covering full deployment and adoption management, not just usage or dashboard creation.
- Background in Business Analysis, Change Management, or a related business-facing discipline.
- Experience sitting within a business function rather than a purely technical or IT team is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Sales and Finance business areas, including processes, KPIs, and reporting needs typical to these functions.
- Proven track record of managing communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring feedback is captured, escalated, and resolved.
- Sufficient technical understanding of Power BI to hold informed, credible conversations with developers, without needing to build dashboards yourself.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organisational levels.
- Advanced English proficiency, written and verbal, with the ability to operate professionally in a US business environment.
Benefits
- Be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team where responsibility and autonomy are genuinely shared.
- A culture that treats failure as a learning opportunity, not a liability.
- An agile working environment where your ideas and observations directly shape delivery outcomes.
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise digital transformation programmes across international markets.
- Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
- The opportunity to grow your profile within a fast-expanding technology consultancy backed by a UK-based technology group.
