Senior Product Manager

HealthStream

• Adhering to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training • Create confidence, clarity, and customer connection for all product stakeholders • Create and manage strategy for one or more products within the context of the overall product family and organizational priorities • Grow sales and revenues for assigned products • Conduct research to fully understand the competitive environment, market share and financial performance and report internally on this analysis • Lead a shared understanding of target customers, markets, buyer and user personas • Serve as the face of the product across the company, directing organization-wide initiatives and leading the product launch process • Assure accurate and complete understanding of products through routine internal training and other forms of internal and external communication • Identify, resolve, and monitor customer and product issues with the assistance of client services support • Assist in the development and execution of sales plans • Produce well-researched and well-founded product pricing and appropriate incentive/discounts • Prioritize the production of marketing materials and sales-supporting activities • Identify marketing opportunities such as professional conferences and other events that provide access to potential customers • Champion the customer experience and product vision, plan and execute the product roadmap • Use data effectively to drive a comprehensive understanding of the customer, product and process • Publish product artifacts on key features or topics to ensure clarity and organizational alignment on direction • Lead one or more development teams through the grooming and sprint planning process, establishing clear priorities and requirements • Develop an integrated plan for development, sales and client success teams to ensure that all aspects of the product experience are world class • Foster a learning culture through active customer discovery, proof-of-concepts and continuous improvement • Research and evaluate potential new partnerships and other external opportunities • Make recommendations for future new partnerships and manage product enhancements with existing partners • Conduct negotiations with partners to finalize business relationships and contracting • Manage the ongoing relationships with existing partners, including gaining a deep understanding of their business • Drive greater ecosystem value by creating offerings that are integrated across HealthStream product lines

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 5 or more years in a product management or related role
  • Software development lifecycle, Software as a Service experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with continuing education management software or similar strongly preferred
  • Experience with services, APIs and AI strongly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ownership mentality, willing to lead through ambiguity and own performance
  • Curiosity and a desire to hear opinions and ideas that challenge your own
  • Plans and executes own activities with generally-defined goals and minimal supervision
  • Manages activities for multiple concurrent and complex projects with the appropriate prioritization and focus
  • Works within a multi-disciplinary and cross-functional team with respect towards others
  • Appropriately influences cross-functional team members without formal authority or management control
  • Establishes high level of trust and credibility internally, with business partners, and with customers
