Role Description Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Tech Writer for contract opportunity. This role offers the chance to apply your skills in support of meaningful work for one of our client partners. - Effectively research, write, and edit technical content. - Interact with engineers and applications specialists to gain an understanding of product(s) to develop technical content. - Collaborate with Technical Writers assigned to a project. - Perform peer reviews and other content edits. - Ensure Technical Publication compliance with QMS requirements. - Manage quality objectives, regulatory requirements, schedules, and program risks, making decisions based on business objectives. Quality Specific Goals: - Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. - Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required. - Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Writing, or similar discipline. - Five years or more experience effectively managing complex projects (using project management tools) to ensure quality standards are met. - Experience creating technical documentation. - Experience working with subject matter experts, preferably trainers and engineers. - Proficiency in Adobe products (FrameMaker and Adobe Acrobat) and Microsoft Suite software. - Experience with Photoshop and/or Illustrator a plus. - Experience with XML authoring tools. - Strong experience in project management working with Engineering context. - Working knowledge of electronics. Requirements - Knowledge and experience with DITA XML authoring standard. - Knowledge of Engineering processes and operating mechanisms. - Experience in documentation life cycle, from creation to distribution. - Client services experience. - Modality Applications experience. - Passion for quality and delivery on time. Benefits - The base range for this contract position is $30.00 - $44.00 per hour, depending on experience. - The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations. - Individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors.
