Licensing Technical Leader

• provide technical leadership for the completion of various technical licensing work scopes in the United States, including new reactor licensing for the Natrium and BWRX-300 Advanced Nuclear Projects • operating fleet licensing support • customer plant support on GE Hitachi (GEH) / Global Nuclear Fuels (GNF) nuclear methods • working with GEH / GNF Engineering and Regulatory Affairs teams on major projects • report to the U.S. Project Licensing Manager, and provide supervision and technical leadership for a team of Licensing Engineers • development of work plans and ensuring schedule adherence for all licensing deliverables while maintaining a high standard of quality • adherence to all applicable procedures and to project-specific work plans and instructions • identify and originate Condition Reports to drive continuous improvements as necessary • ensure training of team members is up to date • process documents in the Product Lifecycle Management tool including uploading quality records and supporting documentation and creating change actions with assigned reviewers and approvals • prepare, coordinate, and implement limitations and conditions for U.S. Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs) in support of new reactor licensing
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, with a minimum of 7 years of related professional work experience including:
- 4 years of commercial operating or new proposed nuclear power plant experience
- 2 years of experience leading or independently completing complex projects, and providing regulatory guidance / direction to contributing functions (i.e., Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Analysis)
- OR Master's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college, with a minimum of 6 years of related professional work experience including:
- 3 years of commercial operating or new proposed nuclear power plant experience
- 2 years of experience leading or independently completing complex projects, and providing regulatory guidance / direction to contributing functions (i.e., Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Analysis)
- Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a site security clearance, including any required regulatory background check.
