Senior Power BI Developer – Analytics Engineer

• Design and develop interactive dashboards using Power BI for internal and external stakeholders • Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions that support decision-making • Build and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting infrastructure • Implement embedded BI solutions for client-facing applications using Power BI Embedded • Manage dashboard performance, usability, and data integrity through QA and continuous improvements • Support teams with ad-hoc analysis and insights using SQL and BI tools • Work closely with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, and Client Success • Use REST APIs, Power BI Client Libraries, and scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript) for advanced integration • Drive best practices in data modeling, UX design, and dashboard performance tuning • Ensure data security and compliance with internal standards

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Power BI, MS SQL Server, and data visualization
  • Expertise in SQL development, performance tuning, and stored procedures
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, DAX, Power Pivot, and Power Query
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, UX principles, and BI design frameworks
  • Experience in SaaS or Fintech domain preferred
  • Hands-on with Power BI Embedded, APIs, and Azure services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a user-centric mindset
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with global stakeholders

Our client is a fast-growing international consultancy specialising in data, AI and advanced analytics for major financial institutions. They are looking for a Software Engineer specialising in Analytics & Insights to design and build enterprise analytics products. The role focuses on: - Developing high-quality datasets, dashboards, and analytical tools that help business stakeholders make better decisions using data. - Integrating AI into data analytics to cut workload and free up time for analysing data and gaining insights. Key Responsibilities: - Design and build analytics datasets and semantic layers for enterprise reporting. - Develop dashboards and analytical products used by business stakeholders. - Translate business questions into measurable metrics, dashboards, and insights. - Design reusable analytics assets such as curated datasets, metrics frameworks, and analytical models. - Implement CI/CD pipelines for analytics workflows. - Work with enterprise data platforms to deliver scalable analytics solutions. - Ensure strong data quality, governance, and lineage practices. - Use AI-assisted tools and LLMs to accelerate analytics workflows, documentation, and insight generation.
