Role Description Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Director, Internal Audit to join our Strategic Finance team. The Director, Internal Audit plays a critical role in advancing and refining our IA function as we shape the future, create insights and enhance operations. You will develop and execute the internal audit (IA) plan, working with the Vice President, Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk. We are looking for regular interaction with senior management. You will report into the VP, Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk. Work Location: This is a remote position, open to candidates who reside in Hartford, CT. You will be fully remote; however, our approach to work may adapt over time. Future models could potentially involve a hybrid presence at the hub office associated with your metro area. #LI-Remote Pay Transparency: The base pay for this role is: $180,504 - $236,911 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses. Responsibilities - Along with the VP, Internal Audit & Enterprise Risks, assist in shaping and executing the IA strategic roadmap and in maturing the IA function - Participate in enterprise risk assessment effort, with the VP, Internal Audit - Lead the effort in developing and executing the annual risk-based internal audit plan, including the internal audit reports - Provide advisory services and insights to the business partners on risk and internal controls - Collaborate with other corporate risk and control functions (e.g. Security GRC, Privacy, Compliance, SOX) to ensure activities are coordinated and where possible, leveraged - Help develop the material for Audit Committee reporting - Present findings and recommendations and articulate risks and implications to management - Develop relationships with business partners to understand functions, processes, potential risks and influence the risk mitigation efforts - Develop training programs for IA team members and ensure compliance with IIA standards - Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business or related fields - 10+ years experience in internal audit or a similar role, in Big4 or public companies - 4+ years of relevant industry experience (healthcare, insurance, and/or technology) - 4+ years experience in managing teams of internal resources or consultants Bonus Points - Insurance and healthcare experience - Finance and Accounting understanding - Relevant certifications such as CIA, CPA, CISA or equivalent - Data & analytics experience Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision benefits - 11 paid holidays - Paid sick time - Paid parental leave - 401(k) plan participation - Life and disability insurance - Paid wellness time and reimbursements
