Metadata Developer
EXL
• Develop and maintain Business Metadata, Technical Metadata, Data Lineage, and Critical Data Element (CDE) frameworks. • Configure and administer Collibra workflows, assets, domains, and governance processes. • Design and implement metadata ingestion and integration processes across enterprise data platforms. • Integrate Collibra with Databricks Unity Catalog and other enterprise data sources. • Develop automated metadata synchronization and lineage capture processes. • Support metadata quality, governance, and stewardship initiatives. • Collaborate with Data Architects and Governance teams to establish metadata standards and best practices. • Analyze metadata requirements and implement scalable governance solutions. • Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and risk management initiatives through enhanced data traceability. • Create technical documentation and governance artifacts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, or Data Management.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra.
- Strong experience managing: Business Metadata, Technical Metadata, Data Lineage, Critical Data Elements (CDEs)
- Experience integrating metadata platforms with Databricks Unity Catalog and cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
- Experience working in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance environments.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK.
- Experience supporting insurance regulatory reporting and compliance initiatives.
