• Perform detailed material and quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications, specifically focusing on panel & service upgrades, EV charger installations, generator installations, and general electrical maintenance. • Manage pre-construction administrative duties, including comprehensive bid preparation, compiling submittal packages, managing RFIs, and tracking electrical code revisions. • Review project documentation thoroughly to identify missing information, flag potential discrepancies, and clarify scope before formal submission. • Lead vendor outreach and subcontractor coordination to source accurate pricing, compile material quotes, and clarify project scopes. • Track active bid invitations, maintain the estimating pipeline, and ensure all submissions meet strict project deadlines. • Maintain a high-volume bidding cadence, efficiently managing data and documentation within the team's existing systems.

• Prepare and revise detailed material takeoffs and quantity surveys with guidance from senior estimating leadership. • Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda, structural calculations, and engineering documents to determine project scope and pricing requirements. • Analyze project schedules, including visual mock-ups, testing requirements, material procurement timelines, and installation sequencing. • Develop comprehensive material, labor, equipment, transportation, tax, and subcontractor cost estimates. • Produce detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings. • Prepare material summaries, sketches, and bid documentation required for estimate development. • Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project specifications. • Coordinate bid-related communications, including distribution of plans, specifications, and addenda to vendors and subcontractors. • Prepare bid proposals, pricing breakdowns, unit costs, clarifications, inclusions, and exclusions. • Assist with preparation of final bid packages and customer submissions. • Participate in scope review meetings and maintain detailed meeting documentation. • Follow up with general contractors and customers regarding bid submissions and proposal feedback. • Support senior estimating staff with project pricing, budgeting, and proposal development. • Utilize Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other estimating software tools to prepare accurate estimates and reports. • Meet all proposal deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Develop a comprehensive project estimate including the Billing of Materials (BOM) and labor breakdown • Work with sales/operations stakeholders in all Zeus hubs, as well as, functional team members • Work with the CoE Estimating Manager to prepare fire & security estimates • Generate a code compliant fire protection and security system design build layout of small projects • Independently generate small system estimates and all associated engineering documentation and process through presale lifecycle • Generate Requests for Information (RFI’s) • Qualify opportunities based on scope of work and ensure alignment with business and corporate priorities and capabilities • Perform site visits / surveys for small projects • Generate design layouts and take-offs utilizing Bluebeam • Maintain project drawing files, associated records, and documentation in an orderly condition • Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, sales teams, project management teams, external consultants, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives • Review and approve small project estimates completed by others for code compliance and business conformance • Participate in estimating team, CoE, hub, and corporate activities; manager 1:1’s • Observe and follow department/company SOG’s and policies & procedures

All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and procedures • Promote company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture • Prepare complete cost estimates for projects • Understand and monitor program of work to ensure estimates are completed prior to deadlines • Perform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparation • Compare various project documents for accuracy and consistency • Participate in estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders • Assist construction personnel throughout the project life cycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimate • Assist in the preparation and submission of change orders • Follow-up at the end of a project to close any loops in the estimating process • Conduct detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications for medium to large hard bid / lump sum projects to determine overall project requirements • Take ownership of medium to large size estimates or a component of larger estimates and is accountable for that specific work scope • Complete final cost estimate, adding all labor, equipment, material data, pricing documentation, overhead, and profit margins, and produces a final bid submission • Identify associated risk factors, including monitoring of published addenda that may alter original project scope • Complete full quantity take-off of all labor, equipment, and materials • Capture and understand trade scopes and communicate gaps / missing information • Coordinate and work with sales development and project management team to create site logistics, schedule, and execution plan • Review current material and construction equipment pricing and ensure that bid validity and price escalation are addressed and meet project's needs • Assist or lead in preparing final bid documents for submission to client to meet contract deadline requirements • Support estimating efforts of multiple office locations • Maintain data in E2 Optics' systems • Read and understand blueprints • Other duties as assigned
