We are currently seeking a SMO Asset & Configuration Management Process Owner to join our team in Salem, Oregon (US-OR), United States (US). The Service Management Office (SMO) Asset & Configuration Management Process Owner will work under the Project Delivery Director''s direction and will own the design, implementation, governance, and continual improvement of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management / CMDB processes, ensuring alignment to business objectives, operational needs, and industry best practices. This role requires strong experience in ITAM, CMDB governance, data quality management, lifecycle control, and platform enablement, with the ability to drive process maturity, cross-functional alignment, and sustainable ownership. Job Responsibilities Include: - Own the end-to-end Asset Management and Configuration Management / CMDB processes, including process design, governance, implementation, and continual improvement. - Define and maintain policies, standards, controls, roles, and operating procedures for asset lifecycle management and configuration management. - Establish governance for asset and configuration item (CI) scope, ownership, lifecycle states, classification, naming standards, and relationship models. - Define and enforce CMDB data quality standards including completeness, accuracy, timeliness, consistency, reconciliation, and exception management. - Govern the asset lifecycle across acquisition, deployment, maintenance, movement, refresh, retirement, and disposal. - Drive CMDB governance practices including CI identification, class model design, relationship mapping, and service mapping alignment. - Ensure integration with Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and other ITSM processes. - Define and report on KPIs, data quality measures, and process health metrics. - Conduct process and data maturity assessments and lead improvements. - Partner with infrastructure, application, procurement, security, finance, and audit stakeholders. - Identify and document platform requirements and enhancements. - Represent process requirements during platform implementation (ServiceNow, BMC, Jira, etc.). - Establish governance over reconciliation, discovery alignment, and audit readiness. - Maintain process documentation and operational run book. - Build sustainable governance practices. Basic Qualifications: - Minimum of six (6) years of experience in IT Asset Management, Configuration Management, or CMDB governance. - Minimum of six (6) years' experience implementing ITAM and CMDB processes. - Minimum of six (6) years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, BMC Helix/Remedy, Jira Service Management, or similar tools. - Minimum of five (5) years' experience with lifecycle management, CMDB governance, reconciliation, and ITSM integration. - Foundational ITIL or relevant certification. Preferred Skills: - Advanced ITIL or ITAM / CMDB certifications - Experience in large or regulated environments - Experience improving data governance, discovery, and service mapping - Ability to translate governance into practical process design Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $91,040 - $136,560. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
