• Design, develop, and optimize C# / .NET Core Web APIs • Implement secure, scalable, and high performance backend services • Apply best practices in dependency injection, middleware, async programming, and error handling • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs with proper versioning and documentation • Integrate backend services with databases and external systems • Ensure reliability, performance, and maintainability of backend components • Deploy and manage backend services on Azure App Service • Configure application settings, environments, and secrets • Implement monitoring, logging, and diagnostics using Azure Application Insights • Troubleshoot production issues using logs, telemetry, and metrics • Support release and environment management activities • Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic • Ensure data integrity, performance, and transaction handling • Integrate with authentication providers and external APIs • Own backend deliverables for assigned features or modules • Participate in technical design discussions and effort estimations • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards • Mentor Consultants and junior developers • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and cross functional teams • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks

• Develop complete features: REST APIs in the Java backend and Angular components in the frontend • Implement and maintain REST endpoints consumed by the UI and by internal services • Build and evolve operational screens: dashboards, listings, filters, forms and data visualizations • Ensure authentication and access control in both backend and frontend layers (JWT) • Write unit and integration tests in the backend and unit tests in the frontend • Collaborate on defining API contracts between frontend and backend • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the evolution of team standards • Maintain code quality and consistency across both layers

• Own the design, development, and reliability of backend systems that power order management, trade matching, settlement, and market resolution for prediction markets • Architect distributed systems that enforce strict correctness guarantees across clearing, payout, and position management workflows • Drive the technical strategy for migrating from third-party venue participation to a fully Coinbase-operated exchange and clearing platform • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Compliance, and Risk teams to ensure the platform meets regulatory requirements and launches with confidence • Shape engineering standards and practices across the Prediction Markets team, setting a high bar for code quality, system design, and operational rigor • Partner with engineers across Consumer & Business to identify shared infrastructure opportunities and reduce duplication across trading surfaces

• Backend: Application of design patterns, query optimization, API security, and a clear understanding of infrastructure and processing costs. • Frontend: Emphasis on performance (Core Web Vitals), Server-Side Rendering (SSR), state management, and responsiveness. • DevOps & Infrastructure Mindset: Strong foundation in CI/CD, monitoring and the ability to debug issues directly in the cloud environment to support application reliability and stability.
