Complex Commercial Underwriter

• Utilize THREE’s underwriting guidelines and tools to evaluate, select, and price complex risks – specifically in Hospitality, Habitational, Bar/Tavern, and LRO industries. • Handle both New Business and Renewal Referrals across THREE’s entire footprint. • Ensure agent compliance with Loss Control recommendations to improve risk quality and/or reduce hazards that would adversely impact THREE’s profitability. • Clearly and concisely communicate needs to agents including verification of information, requests for documentation, etc, with customer experience always top of mind. • Meet various performance requirements related to efficiency and underwriting quality.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years in commercial lines underwriting including multiple lines of business – specific designations or related commercial lines experience may supplement.
- Experience underwriting in a fast-paced environment, with ability to apply typical small commercial efficiencies to more complex risks without sacrificing quality.
- Understands independent agent submission-to-bind process for medium sized accounts.
- Experience using all available tools to make appropriate risk selection and pricing decisions.
- Outstanding underwriting queue management skills, with experience performing against specifically defined SLAs.

• Generate, review and prepare files of outgoing Audit Letters on a daily basis. • Monitor delivery confirmations and reprocess as needed due to failure • Meet quality and productivity standards as indicated by service level • Comply with HIPAA and other regulations regarding confidentiality of information. • Escalate issues to management and handle for Follow Up action as needed. • Responsible for communication and reporting of any system or workflow issues to the appropriate Leadership or Team Members • Monitor and respond to “Chats” from Providers • Monitor and respond to email correspondence, both internal and external. • Other duties as assigned to support the audit process and/or company-wide programs
