Job Overview: ShakaCode is looking for a skilled Product Designer who can bring valuable product management skills to our team. This role is perfect for a UX Designer who wants to broaden their scope and play an active role in shaping product direction and strategy. While your main responsibility will be product design, product management skills are a significant plus. The ideal candidate can occasionally contribute to product strategy and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring design decisions align with broader business goals. Key Responsibilities: Product Design: Lead the end-to-end design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and final UI design. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately. Create prototypes and high-fidelity designs that align with the product vision. Maintain and evolve design systems to ensure consistency across the product. Nice to have: Product Management Skills: Work closely with product management to align design work with business goals and user needs. Contribute to product roadmaps, providing insights from a design perspective. Assist in prioritizing features and defining product requirements that enhance user experience and business impact. Required Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years of experience as a product or UI/UX designer with shipped products in your portfolio. Proven ability to balance design tasks with strategic product management responsibilities. Experience creating designs either mobile-first or desktop-first. Experience with both consumer and business systems Skills Excellent spoken and written English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and present ideas clearly. Proficiency in design tools like Figma, or similar. Strong understanding of product strategy and the ability to contribute to roadmap planning. Analytical mindset with experience in user research and data-driven decision-making.
