Role Description Mind Computing is seeking a fulltime, 100% remote AWS Developer to be a part of a team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, reliability, and cost efficiency. The candidate must reside within the continental US. - Design, develop, and deploy AWS-based applications and solutions. - Utilize AWS services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions). - Build and maintain ETL/data integration workflows using AWS tools (e.g., AWS Glue). - Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform. - Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools (CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy). - Ensure security best practices (IAM, encryption, compliance). - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance using CloudWatch and logging tools. - Integrate with external APIs and collaborate with cross-functional teams. - Stay updated with AWS best practices, new features, and emerging technologies. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience as an AWS Developer or Cloud Engineer. - Strong knowledge of AWS services, cloud architecture, and DevOps practices. - Proficiency in Python and experience with ETL/data processing. - Experience with IaC tools (Terraform or CloudFormation). - Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines. - Knowledge of AWS security, networking, and SQL/database management. - Experience working in Agile environments. Requirements - AWS certifications: Developer Associate or Solutions Architect. - Experience in healthcare or federal environments. - Familiarity with ETL tools, REST APIs, and SaaS integrations (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Pega). - Experience with big data, machine learning, or legacy system support. - Familiar with x12 and health care transactions related to claims processing. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade third-party ISV software products in a z/OS environment. • Lead initiatives to replace mainframe products with alternative vendor solutions. • Perform product evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and technical comparisons of replacement tools. • Plan and execute product migration and conversion activities, including configuration changes, data conversions, and operational cutovers. • Maintain and manage software using SMP/E, including RECEIVE, APPLY, ACCEPT, USERMODs, and maintenance management. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ISV software installations, integrations, and runtime problems. • Work with application teams, operations, and vendors to diagnose system or product issues. • Develop and maintain installation documentation, procedures, and migration runbooks. • Assist in capacity planning, performance tuning, and operational support for ISV tools. • Support incident resolution and participate in root cause analysis for production issues involving ISV software. • Evaluate compatibility and impact of new z/OS releases on installed ISV products.

• Lead clinical programming activities across assigned studies, ensuring project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and resource needs are effectively managed while proactively identifying and escalating risks or change orders. • Design, build, validate, and maintain clinical databases, electronic edit checks, data listings, and data visualization tools to support high-quality data collection, review, and regulatory compliance. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Management, Project Management, Biostatistics, and study teams to develop study documentation, clarify technical specifications, and deliver programming solutions that meet project objectives. • Champion industry standards and quality, applying CDISC conventions (CDASH, SDTM, TAUGs), validation principles, and programming best practices to ensure consistent, compliant, and inspection-ready deliverables. • Drive innovation and continuous improvement by leading process enhancements, developing global programming standards and libraries, implementing data analytics and visualization tools, and supporting departmental initiatives.
