Role Description Kerry is seeking an outstanding Technical Account Manager to represent our North American Animal Nutrition business. The successful candidate will have full sales, budget, and pipeline responsibilities for their profitable, high-growth territory. This role requires a strategic account manager who is comfortable operating with speed and flexibility in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, energetic, commercially driven, and capable of supporting the continued growth of the business through direct customer engagement and participation in relevant trade organization events. The role may be home-based in the Eastern U.S. preferably between NY to GA and will report to the North American Commercial Director. The Technical Account Manager will provide overall account management and direction within the assigned territory, setting the strategy for long-term growth and profitability while ensuring continued execution against short-term objectives and operational priorities. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of account management success within animal nutrition or a related industry. They will be a high-impact, dynamic professional with a strong record of achieving results individually and through others, as well as an intelligent strategic thinker with proven ability to execute plans and achieve objectives. Key Responsibilities - Customer relationships: Establish Kerry as a long-term supplier to national accounts by developing, maintaining, and expanding strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions. Use direct customer contact and relevant trade organization events to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities. - Sales budgets: Participate in the development of annual sales budget targets for assigned accounts and take appropriate action to achieve those targets. - Account management: Ensure appropriate resources and actions are recommended to address customer-related issues, including competitive threats, product and service complaints, and sales erosion. - Sales growth: Support long-term divisional growth by developing account strategies, identifying new technologies, and recommending market opportunities related to the customer base. - Project management: Develop project opportunities and ensure effective communication between customers and relevant cross-functional teams. Qualifications - Degree in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, or a related discipline required; master’s-level qualification preferred. - Proven experience in technical animal nutrition additive sales. - Self-starter with excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong IT, written, and verbal communication skills. - Fluency in English required; Spanish language capability preferred. - Knowledge of Salesforce/SFDC preferred. - Ability to travel up to 50% - 70% of the time. Requirements The pay range for this position is 100,000 - 160,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and location. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
