• Design and lead development of the native Rust backend, including APIs, microservices, and system architecture. • Integrate and manage real-time messaging infrastructure using WebSockets and event-driven services. • Oversee the Solana-based OleX token, including smart contract development, wallet logic, and payments architecture. • Build the backend framework for AI-powered features, including translation, recommendation engines, and user content analysis. • Ensure security, scalability, and performance across all systems, especially in crypto and gambling environments. • Partner with the CEO and broader team to align technical goals with the company’s global vision.

The Role We are looking for a distributed systems engineer to join a startup using zero-knowledge proofs to scale smart contract applications. You will be responsible for building Rust-based rollup nodes and sequencers to deliver zero-knowledge proof based products on-chain. Your work will require designing secure and efficient systems and making design choices to enable rapid development without sacrificing security. We are looking for someone with strong engineering design skills, a security mindset, and the ability to design and implement blockchain protocols. Before Axiom, Yi was a professor at UChicago Statistics and did a math PhD at MIT. He was previously an advisor for Gauntlet and worked at an HFT startup from inception to profitable trading. Jonathan published number theory research in top math journals and did a math PhD at UChicago. • Support the BSA/AML/OFAC Officer with governance, implementation, and oversight of N3XT’s BSA/AML/OFAC compliance program, including policies and procedures, with focus on digital assets / blockchain products • Assist the BSA/AML/OFAC Officer by providing leadership to Onboarding / Transaction Monitoring Teams and managing escalations related to BSA/AML/OFAC and Onboarding (KYC/KYB/EDD) • Lead enterprise-wide BSA/AML and Sanctions risk assessments • Oversee and support investigations and SAR decisioning involving blockchain payments, including sanction/PEP/adverse media hits • Responsible for OFAC reporting requirements, blocked or rejected transactions, and Travel Rule record keeping requirements as needed • Partner with data and engineering teams to help our team integrate AI and automation in daily alert clearing and investigation activities (onboarding reviews, screening and transaction monitoring investigations) • Coordinate and manage responses for third party audits, regulatory exams, internal quality assurance reviews, and bank partner requests • Own remediation efforts of related findings through issue closure • Assist in enhancing company-wide compliance risk-based training by incorporating AI and LLM tools to create required modules housed in our learning management system • Drive automation of data reporting for manual compliance processes, including partner obligation management • Assist with managing other regulatory compliance initiatives as needed, such as quarterly incident tabletops and regulatory change management
