Medical Records Specialist
SUMMUS
• Collect and organize medical records for member families seeking virtual Expert Consultations and Remote Second Opinions • Work to create efficiencies in the medical records collection process • Demonstrate excellence in client service, written and oral communication, project management, and problem solving • Collaborate with colleagues on the Remote Second Opinion, Member Experience, and Clinical Operations teams to create the best experience possible for our members
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in medical collection strongly preferred; 7+ years of experience in medical records collection will be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s degree
- Passion for making patient-centric, innovative healthcare accessible
- Ability to balance competing priorities
- Experience reviewing high volume, complex medical records
- Comfort dealing with sensitive topics
- Proficiency with multiple technology platforms
- Self-motivated and ability to work responsibly, both independently and collaboratively as needs warrant in a fast-paced environment
- Impeccable attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
