Account Executive
THEMIS Waste Recovery Technology
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close for a defined territory of banks, credit unions, and fintechs • Source and qualify new opportunities through outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, events, and partner referrals • Build and maintain a healthy, accurately forecasted pipeline that consistently meets or exceeds quota • Run structured discovery to understand each prospect’s governance, risk, and compliance challenges • Lead compelling, tailored product demonstrations in partnership with sales engineering and customer success • Manage multi-stakeholder evaluations, proof-of-concept engagements, and sandbox provisioning • Build business cases, proposals, and pricing aligned to customer needs and budget cycles • Navigate procurement, security, and legal reviews common in regulated financial services buyers • Negotiate and close contracts while setting customers up for a successful onboarding • Ensure clean handoffs to Customer Success after the deal is won • Maintain accurate records, forecasts, and activity data in the CRM • Share market and prospect feedback with Product, Marketing, and Leadership
Job Requirements
- Experience carrying and consistently meeting a quota in a B2B SaaS or financial services sales role
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles end to end
- Strong discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Comfort selling a technical or consultative product to sophisticated buyers
- Ability to engage confidently with compliance, risk, operations, and executive stakeholders
- Strong organizational, pipeline-management, and follow-through skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

This role is focused on: - Own the Public Sector & Healthcare lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, and results within identified governments and healthcare institutions alongside a Customer Success Manager to drive additional MAU growth. - Foster relationships within your account by onboarding accounts and providing strategic sales support to ensure a successful deployment of Canva across multiple departments and cross-functional implementations. - Focus on the Public Sector & Healthcare community to run a healthy and predictable business that delivers a jointly agreed customer transformation strategy. - Understand the Canva user lifecycle by establishing close relationships with our passionate community of Public Sector & Healthcare users to know first-hand what they need to become successful Canva users. - Identify trends and usage patterns by utilizing data analysis to inform future product and marketing plans. - Drive retention and engagement by continuously testing, learning, and iterating on our lifecycle strategy at our identified customers to build meaningful and impactful relationships. Qualifications - 3+ years as an Enterprise Account Executive with a strong track record of closing complex deals and driving revenue growth within large organizations. - Understanding of Public Sector efficiency solutions and ability to communicate with government systems on how Canva can improve visual design literacy. - Comfortable selling government software solutions combined with real-world experience in design to drive MAU growth across these organizations. - Excellent collaboration skills, enjoying working alongside direct teams as well as with cross-functional teams. - Deep understanding of how government institutions roll out new technology and the ways institution-wide deployments operate. - Effective communication skills, creating clarity through communication by making complex things simple. - Strong business planning skills with the ability to move from planning to implementation and complete projects that deliver high impact. - Experience in community management with an understanding of social media standard processes and tactics for educating audiences. - Growth mindset, eager to learn and develop skills while having fun along the way! - Bonus points for speaking French, particularly for engaging with francophone communities in Canada. • Conduct sales meetings: Hold meetings with clients (on average 4–5 per day) to identify client needs, present our best solution, and create strong interest in our offering; • Client relationship management: Maintain close relationships with clients, answer questions, overcome objections, and seek a clear "yes" or "no" on our proposal; • CRM updates and management: Record interactions and lead statuses, maintaining accurate control of the sales funnel; • Participation in training and development: Continuously develop by attending trainings and improving skills that increase conversion rates; • Team support and process improvement: Provide the team with insights on leads, assist in preparing sales strategies, and suggest improvements to the commercial process; • Availability for occasional travel to attend in-person events.
