Part-Time Technical SEO, Web Operations Contractor

• Perform initial full audit, provide recommendations and establish monitoring system • Conduct ongoing technical audits across all web properties • Identify crawl, indexing, schema, performance, and structural issues • Monitor Google Search Console and other SEO tools • Provide clear diagnoses and prioritized recommendations • Ensure proper internal linking strategy across properties • Ensure GA4, tag manager, cookies, and event tracking are properly configured • Validate attribution, conversion tracking, and reporting accuracy • Monitor site health, performance, and critical errors • Ensure sitemap, robots.txt, canonical tags, and indexing rules are correct • Translate findings into clear technical documentation • Provide engineering-ready requirements and acceptance criteria • Partner with engineering to implement changes • Validate changes post-deployment • Provide ongoing reports summarizing performance, risks, and wins • Proactively flag issues before they impact performance • Recommend strategic improvements aligned to business goals • Look at all web properties holistically • Ensure consistency across properties • Maintain a long-term technical SEO roadmap
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in technical SEO and web infrastructure
- Strong organization, priotization skills
- Strong experience with Docusaurus or documentation-based sites preferred
- Deep understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console
- Comfortable reading basic code (HTML, structured data, site configs)
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Highly proactive and ownership-driven
- Able to operate independently with limited hours
