Civil Journeyworker Foreman – Construction Craft Labor
Premise Inc.
• Supervise and coordinate the active of the civil labor crews. • Perform and direct construction tasks such as racking and panel assembly, hand digging trenches, backfilling and material organization. • Manage labor production timelines, daily crew responsibilities and materials effectively. • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. • Provide training and guidance to apprentices and less experienced laborers. • Train and mentor in concrete techniques, ensuring consistency and quality across the crew. • Coordinate with those operating equipment to ensure proper certification and use of machinery. • Communicate with construction managers, site supervisors, safety team, customer field representatives and other stakeholders to ensure project success. • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks. • Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that arise. • Maintain detailed records of project progress, labor hours, and materials used. • Follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safe work environment. • Receive and retain feedback and direction from your Site Supervisor. • Follow all directions and complete tasks assigned in a timely manner. • Communicate any delays.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2+ years experience as a Civil Construction Journeyworker or equivalent.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency with construction tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and practices.
- A valid driver's license is required for this role and must be maintained throughout employment.
- A Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
- A current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is preferred; however, candidates who do not currently possess a DOT Medical Card must be willing and able to obtain one prior to employment.
