Role Description We are seeking an Analyst, Quality Assurance & Site Reliability Engineering to play a critical role in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our Shopify-based commerce platform. This individual will partner across engineering, product, and operations teams to drive quality, minimize downtime, and enhance the customer experience across our digital ecosystem. What You’ll Do: - Serve as subject matter expert on the Shopify platform, including Storefront APIs, Admin APIs, Checkout extensibility, and app ecosystem integrations. - Design and maintain comprehensive test coverage for Shopify platform features, identifying edge cases, failure modes, and regression risks based on system requirements and merchant impact. - Execute functional, integration, performance, and load test plans for Shopify platform changes, ensuring releases meet quality gates and SLOs before deployment. - Build and maintain automated test suites using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or k6 to support continuous integration pipelines for Shopify storefront and API layers. - Partner with engineering teams during sprint planning and deployment activities to establish quality criteria, review change risk, and coordinate release readiness for Shopify platform updates. - Identify, triage, and prioritize defects and reliability issues discovered during testing or production monitoring of the Shopify platform. - Reproduce and document platform defects with clear reproduction steps, environment details, and impact assessments; collaborate with Shopify engineers and third-party app developers to drive resolution. - Lead post-incident reviews and blameless retrospectives for Shopify platform outages or degraded performance events; drive systemic improvements to eliminate recurring defect patterns and reduce MTTR. - Monitor platform health using observability tooling (e.g. Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic); analyze error rates, latency trends, and availability metrics to proactively identify reliability risks on the Shopify platform. - Communicate platform quality and reliability status, SLO performance, incident timelines, and test coverage metrics to engineering leads and stakeholders on a regular cadence. - Maintain test environments that accurately mirror Shopify production configurations, ensuring data integrity and environment parity for reliable test outcomes. - Log and track platform defects and reliability incidents diligently and accurately using standard tools such as Jira or Linear, ensuring full traceability from discovery through resolution. - Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required. - 4+ years of progressive quality assurance and/or site reliability engineering experience, preferably within e-commerce or SaaS platform environments. - Demonstrated understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, QA methodologies, and SRE principles including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, toil reduction, and chaos engineering. - Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps practices; proficiency with tools such as Jira, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD and project management platforms. - Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to evolving Shopify platform capabilities, new APIs, app ecosystem changes, and emerging e-commerce reliability engineering practices. - Proficiency with Shopify platform technologies including Liquid templating, GraphQL/REST APIs, Shopify CLI, and app development frameworks; familiarity with SQL for querying platform and analytics data. - Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, or Splunk; familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or k6. - Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning). - Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts. - Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients. - Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. - Ability to work with and influence peers. - Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting. Role Description The Default Claims Quality Assurance (“QA”) Analyst is responsible for review and reconciliation of all default claims (i.e. Mortgage Insurance (MI) claims, etc.) for accuracy, certify as such and transmit the claim filing to the appropriate entity (FHA, USDA, PMI, VA, FNMA, and FHLMC). Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay for this position is $20.00 - $24.50/hr. - Review all FHA, VA, PMI, USDA, FNMA, and FHLMC claims within the investor/insurer timeframes for accuracy. - Validate that all expenses within the system have been reconciled and claimed in accordance to agency requirements. - Identifies errors from the QA claim review and ensures corrections have been completed before submitting the claim for reimbursement. - Document Mortgage platform with appropriate process tracking. - Escalate trends or issues identified from the QA of the claim form. - Verify taxes and insurance maintained and paid timely and cancelled/endorsed according to investor/insurer guidelines. - Ensure company/procedures around the curtailment of interest or advances are followed and enforced. - Responsible for internal quality assurance of all departmental claim documents. - Complete monthly audits assigned. - Moderate knowledge of default claims processes for insurers and investors. - Understanding of the default servicing process, to include foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation and Claims process. - Moderate understanding of Agency and investor guidelines. - Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and quality on loan evaluation. - Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills. - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both internally and externally. - Ability to manage work in order to meet strict deadlines. - Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities.
