Role Description We are looking for a Cancer Care Navigator to help us connect patients to the right care and understand their benefits. The Cancer Care Navigator will play a critical role in our success. - The Care Navigator, Oncology I independently manages a broader range of care coordination and navigation responsibilities. - The CNO I applies sound judgment within established guidelines and serves as a reliable operational partner across teams. - The hourly range for this role is $26 - $29.70 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus. You’re excited about this opportunity because you will... - Gain a bird’s-eye view of the entire organization by working across multiple units rather than being siloed in one area. - Break the monotony of a fixed desk or routine; every week brings a new environment and a fresh set of challenges. - Become a "go-to" resource, building professional relationships with different teams and leadership figures across the company. - Prove your ability to remain calm and effective in shifting environments—a key trait for future leadership roles. - Handle end-to-end travel logistics, including flight bookings and ground transportation under tight deadlines. - Maintain a high level of availability to cover shifting priorities and urgent assignments as the departmental needs evolve. - Perform comprehensive insurance verifications, researching complex coverage issues and ensuring all authorizations are secured prior to service. - Act as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, assessing urgency and accurately routing clinical inquiries to the Clinical Care Navigator. - Evaluate and prioritize daily tasks, pivoting between clerical duties and urgent operational needs without a loss in productivity. - Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions and travel logs, ensuring they meet internal audit standards. - Ensure accurate documentation and follow-through across care workflows. - Coordinate with external providers and internal partners to support care delivery. - Identify recurring operational issues and surface improvement opportunities. - Maintain HIPAA compliance and data integrity standards. Qualifications - High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; college education preferred. - A proven ability to learn new tasks quickly and pivot priorities on short notice. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - A high level of punctuality and a flexible mindset regarding shift assignments and emergency logistical needs. - Spanish Speaking preferred. Responsibilities and Duties: - Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create, and implement a treatment plan, and complete ongoing documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes according to company policy. - Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community through networking. - Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals. - Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session per company guidelines and protocols. - Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed. - Attend and participate in clinical staff meetings, trainings, and outreach. Required Qualifications and Skills: - Candidates are required to have a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university. - Candidates must have a TX clinical licensure (LMSW's and Associates are welcomed to apply) - Required experience with completing DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients. - Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner. - Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base. - Proficient in the use of typical office technology (computers, e-mail, etc.) and Electronic Health Record systems (Valant experience a plus!). - Ability to pass a background check.
