Design Manager, Data Centers
AECOM
• Lead data center due diligence and design teams to deliver projects that meet the client’s requirements, on schedule and to a high degree of quality • Design disciplines will include architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, fire protection, ICT, and BMS/EPMS • Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans • Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders • Proactively manage and communicate change throughout the project both within AECOM and to our clients • Identify problems early and develop creative solutions • Proactively communicate with all stakeholders to provide project updates and resolve outstanding issues • Develop technical and financial proposals for new and add/move/change data center design projects • Develop trusting relationships with client stakeholders/buyers
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree in Architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Architecture License (preferred)
- 12 years of relevant experience in design and/or project management (preferred)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred)
- Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Professional (preferred)
- Active or recent leadership in data center and mission-critical trade organization (preferred)
- 12 years in colocation and/or hyper-scale data center design management & engineering (preferred)
- Excellent communication (written/oral) skills
- Ability to work in dynamic, time-sensitive situations and with minimal oversight
- Team leadership skills

Job Summary As senior designer, you’ll lead projects that demand craft, strategy, and creativity at the highest level. Y ou’ll be involved in every step of the design process: developing compelling ideas and concepts, refining details, ensuring that the work meets the highest standards. You’ll help shape how Ologie shows up in the world — through campaigns, thought leadership, conceptual problem-solving, and branded content that tells our story and supports new business. You’ll also collaborate closely with writers, strategists, and other designers to build creative that achieves results for our clients. Wondering if you might be a good fit? Here’s what you’ll be doing: Develop design ideas in a variety of mediums — social, digital, print, motion, and experiential — for both client and internal marketing projects. Lead the design of Ologie’s marketing materials to elevate our brand presence, new business efforts, and thought leadership. (Applies only to Senior Designer, Client and Internal Brand.) Present your design work, explaining your creative approach and rationale, both internally and to clients. Bring expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and FigJam for digital design and collaboration. Demonstrate proficiency in WordPress (design and development). Ologie follows a hybrid work model, allowing you the flexibility to work from home, or our office in Columbus, Ohio, or a combination of both. For this role, we’re also open to fully remote candidates who are willing to travel occasionally throughout the year for company meetings, conferences, or client visits. The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000. Your final salary will be determined based on your training, relevant experience, and location.
