Role Description Join Manuela Ramos as an e-volunteer and contribute remotely to strategic communications that advance gender equality and human rights. In this role, you will help amplify feminist advocacy, strengthen digital outreach, and support meaningful initiatives that document, inform, and inspire action. As an e-volunteer, you will: - Update the database of femicide cases in Peru by recording and organizing case information throughout the volunteer placement. - Create engaging social media content for key commemorative dates across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, using the institutional hashtag #FeministMemory to highlight important moments such as Domestic Workers' Day, Pride Day, and other relevant dates. - Translate selected sections of the Manuela Ramos Movement website from Spanish into English to help expand the organization’s reach and accessibility. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Marketing, Social Sciences, International Development, Human Rights, Gender Studies, or another relevant field. Requirements - Knowledge in gender equality, human rights, feminist advocacy, social inclusion, or international development, with some related volunteer, academic, work, or community experience considered an asset. - Experience creating digital communications content, such as social media posts, basic graphics, short captions, or campaign materials using accessible online tools. - Strong attention to detail and the ability to organize information accurately in spreadsheets, databases, or shared online documents. - Ability to communicate clearly in English, with Spanish language skills considered a strong asset for translation and content adaptation tasks. As an e-volunteer, you will collaborate with the Canada Chamber of Commerce in Ethiopia and their team in Addis Ababa. In this role, you will help strengthen engagement between Ethiopian and Canadian businesses, supporting a growing network of investors and entrepreneurs in both countries. As an e-volunteer, you will support the organization through the following activities: - Drive strategic advocacy and insights: Develop policy briefs, white papers, and investor materials that highlight opportunities under Canada-Ethiopia trade agreements and evolving market trends. - Create compelling content and stories: Produce engaging success stories, newsletters, and social media content that showcase trade opportunities and business impact across both countries. - Strengthen stakeholder engagement: Organize webinars and virtual networking events while building and maintaining relationships with key partners and institutions. - Support investor outreach and positioning: Develop value proposition materials to attract Canadian investors to Ethiopia’s emerging sectors such as telecom, energy, and finance. - Track impact and optimize engagement: Monitor campaign performance and analyze data to improve advocacy efforts and expand outreach.
