Job Requirements

  • Experience developing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and programming languages such as Python or Scala.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of data orchestration and processing tools.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, Airflow, or Kafka.
  • Knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and modern data architectures.
  • Certifications in Cloud or data-related fields.

Role Description Ulteig is seeking talented and motivated candidates for an Engineer - Development role supporting utility-scale solar, wind, and battery projects. The selected candidate will engage with Ulteig’s civil, structural, electrical, and high voltage design teams and our clients to provide innovative, forward thinking design solutions to facilitate the development stage design of renewable facility projects. - Applies current, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete engineering tasks, and supports other civil, structural, and electrical design workflows as necessary on a case-by-case basis. - Develops plans, details, and reports that are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound utility-scale renewables early-stage development engineering practices. - Works closely with and provides guidance to engineering technicians and design engineers. - Engages with clients to understand their priorities, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish project goals while exceeding client expectations. - Checks design and computations performed by internal design team and provides ideas and executes to promote higher quality designs. - Reviews development plans and specifications for constructability, safety, and risk considerations. - Maintains a value engineering mindset throughout design. - Works closely with business and engineering staff across multiple markets and technical disciplines. - Works closely with clients to understand nuanced technical needs and identify best feasible solution(s). - Supports marketing, sales and business development activities within assigned market. - Demonstrates a wide degree of out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and design ownership. Qualifications - B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is required. - Successful Completion of Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, is required; NCEES Council Record is preferred. - Minimum of 4-6+ years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in design of utility scale renewables, required. - Experience in utility scale renewables development is a plus. - Experience in engineer of record or construction of utility scale renewables is a plus. - Stormwater management and permitting experience is a plus. - Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D is required. - Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of PVFarm, SAM, GIS/ESRI, PVProspect, or similar industry software is a plus. - Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). - Must have permanent authorization to work in US.
