Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role Description This is a remote position. Superlanet is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Security-Focused) for a direct-hire, remote opportunity with our healthcare client in Texas. This is a security-first role centered on vulnerability management and remediation, with infrastructure as a supporting skillset. The position supports a maturing cybersecurity function and requires someone who can operate as a hands-on security practitioner across enterprise systems, including Epic. Key Responsibilities - Security Operations & Vulnerability Management - Lead vulnerability management efforts across infrastructure and endpoint environments, including identification, prioritization, and remediation. - Analyze vulnerability scan results and provide actionable remediation guidance aligned to real-world risk. - Partner with infrastructure and application teams to drive timely remediation of security findings. - Perform system hardening and enforce security baselines across Windows, Linux, and endpoint platforms. - Support security incident response, investigation, and root-cause analysis. - Leverage SIEM and monitoring tools to assess security posture and identify threats. - Utilize asset visibility and monitoring platforms to improve device tracking and risk awareness. - Infrastructure Engineering - Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS). - Administer core services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and identity/access management. - Manage virtualization platforms with emphasis on security, segmentation, and resiliency. - Ensure performance, availability, and security of Epic and other healthcare applications. - Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience (relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate). - 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or related roles. - Strong hands-on experience with vulnerability management, remediation, and system hardening. - Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and asset visibility platforms. - Expertise with enterprise virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), Windows/Linux servers, and Active Directory. - Strong experience with enterprise storage, networking, and backup/disaster recovery solutions. - Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and lead root cause analysis. - Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Requirements - Experience supporting Epic or healthcare clinical systems. - Experience in HIPAA-regulated or highly regulated environments. - Familiarity with endpoint security tools and remediation strategies. - Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or cloud security certifications (nice to have). - Experience with ITIL processes (incident, change, problem management). Benefits - Salary based on experience: $130,000 - $148,000+
