• Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements, including client MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor agreements, referral and settlement agreements, amendments, DPAs, and BAAs • Partner with sales and business development teams to help close deals • Maintain and evolve contract templates, negotiation playbooks, and approval workflows to support a growing business • Prepare and manage employment documentation including offer letters, ICAs, vendor ICAs, and separation agreements • Own and maintain the Employee Handbook; advise on HR-related legal matters as they arise • Partner with HR/Finance on the international contractor process and hiring in Rippling • Oversee registration of State Employer Accounts • Maintain corporate records and coordinate with outside counsel on state tax and entity matters • Manage GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy compliance programs • Advise on AI governance, AI terms of use, and implementation risk • Partner with finance on insurance programs and the corporate card policy • Manage the Privacy Policy and ensure ongoing compliance • Support due diligence and legal review for strategic transactions as needed

• Assist our staff in representing detained clients in their immigration proceedings • Conducting legal research and writing in support of detained clients applying for relief before the immigration court • Conducting individualized country conditions research and collection of primary evidence in support of detained clients applying for relief before the Immigration Court • Assisting in the preparation and filing of applications for immigration relief • Assistance with legal research and case preparation for habeas corpus relief in federal courts • Assisting with interpretation and translation, if possible • Communicating with clients and their family members via telephone • Attending court hearings and/or visiting clients in detention

• The Legal Intern will assist our staff with representing immigrants in appeals before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) and the U.S. Courts of Appeal. • The Legal Intern will also assist our staff with class action cases, amicus briefs, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) complaints, and habeas petitions in federal district courts and U.S. Courts of Appeal. • The Legal Intern may assist with all aspects of our ongoing appeals at the BIA and federal circuit courts related to asylum/Convention Against Torture, the intersection of criminal and immigration law (“crimmigration”), and immigration detention, including assessing new referrals, conducting legal research, writing memoranda, and contributing to amicus and merits briefing. • The Legal Intern may assist with drafting habeas petitions to secure the release of immigrant adults from detention, as well as preparing habeas cases for placement with pro bono partners. • This assistance may include legal research, phone interviews with clients in detention, evidence collection, drafting of petitions, and collaboration with community advocacy groups. • The Legal Intern may assist with new and ongoing litigation under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). • This assistance may include drafting FOIA requests and complaints, researching applicability of FOIA exemptions, and tracking/analyzing FOIA production. • The Legal Intern may help the Lab develop its website resources, conduct trainings, and draft practice advisories to support and educate attorneys who work with immigrants in detention.

• Handle complex and high exposure litigation • Analyze intricate substantive and procedural legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients • Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies without supervision because of level of experience and expertise • Provide effective and timely communications, information, legal advice and other services to clients and claims customers on legal and factual issues in a technology driven environment • Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures • Provide for the prompt, efficient and effective disposition of assigned cases • Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings and alternative dispute resolutions • Research, draft, file and argue appellate briefs in reviewing courts on behalf of clients • Provide opinions to Managing Attorney, Assistant Managing Attorney, staff, clients and claims customers
