Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Vesta
• Design, build, and secure next-generation infrastructure. • Architect, tune, and secure enterprise-grade Linux systems. • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code adoption with Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Python/Bash/Go). • Manage high-availability Proxmox clusters, VM lifecycle, storage integrations, and DR strategies. • Design and operate k8s/k3s clusters, enabling CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments. • Oversee TrueNAS/ZFS platforms, snapshots, and Proxmox Backup Server. • Implement Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and ensure proactive incident response. • Build secure, resilient environments across AWS and Azure with IAM, overlays, and connectivity to on-prem. • Apply PCI/SOC standards, enforce access controls (LDAP/SSO), and lead hardening/vulnerability remediation. • Hands-on with racking, cabling, power, and hardware lifecycle. • Lead monthly patching cycles with minimal downtime. • Mentor engineers, serve as an escalation point, and champion technical excellence. • Own critical initiatives end-to-end, balancing priorities with limited oversight.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years enterprise infrastructure experience with deep Linux expertise.
- Advanced knowledge of virtualization, HA, and clustering.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production.
- Proven automation with Ansible and scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
- Strong networking fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
- Enterprise storage (ZFS, iSCSI, backup systems).
- Compliance-driven mindset (PCI-DSS, SOC).
- Ability to work independently while contributing to small, agile teams.

Role Description The Network Infrastructure Manager will be responsible for leading a small team of network engineers, developing and implementing strategies to ensure Vetcor’s network is able to support the needs of the business. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in network technologies and procedures. The Network Infrastructure Manager will work closely with IT, Security, Legal, and other departments.
