Job Description

Digital Merchandising Specialist

• Serve as the primary owner of brand rules and brand voice configurations within the technology merchandising platform, ensuring all generated content accurately reflects brand standards • Monitor competitor ecommerce experiences and emerging AI merchandising trends to inform platform strategy and rule-set updates • Develop and document standard methodologies for configuring and maintaining merchandising outputs across all sales channels • Own end-to-end product cataloging leveraging the technology platform to build and enrich listings • Responsible for ensuring products are accurately set up, live on site, and optimized for discoverability and conversion — including complete and accurate product attributes, imagery, categorization, and metadata • Define, document, and continuously refine brand voice guidelines, tone parameters, and content rules that are input into the platform to ensure consistency across all consumer touchpoints • Leverage analytics and reporting dashboards to evaluate the performance of content, identify opportunities for rule optimization, and improve merchandising outcomes across product categories and sales channels • Conduct weekly reviews of product and category content to validate accuracy, brand alignment, and business relevance; adjust platform rules and inputs accordingly • Configure and manage product featuring, sort logic, and promotional rules across all digital sales channels • Partner with UX and development teams to apply data-driven navigation and taxonomy recommendations that improve discoverability and conversion • Review, edit, and approve product and website copy, providing structured feedback to refine brand rules in the platform and ensure outputs meet conversion and SEO goals • Maintain catalog data integrity across all channels, ensuring AI tool inputs (product attributes, metadata, categorization) are accurate and up to date • Regularly audit outputs on the site, identify errors or off-brand content, report findings, and collaborate with technical teams to refine platform rules and improve overall UX & conversion

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in an ecommerce or retail setting; experience working with AI tools, content management systems, or merchandising platforms strongly preferred
  • Comfortable learning and adopting new technology platforms; prior experience with AI-powered tools, prompt configuration, or rules-based content systems is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong copywriting and editorial skills with the ability to evaluate AI-generated content critically and define rules that produce on-brand results
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and adapt to a dynamic work environment
