Job Description

Hospital and Physician Services Specialist – Weekends

Raleigh Radiology

• Serve in a primary support role for radiologists and as a functional liaison between hospital staff and medical staff. • Support the radiologists with daily operations, including order entry and Clario issues. • Prepare and organize patient records, including retrieving prior images, reports, and other critical documentation for review. • Accurately enter and update patient demographics, exam details, and radiology findings in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). • Collaborate closely with technologists, radiologists, and support staff to ensure all necessary imaging studies are available for interpretation. • Monitor and manage the daily flow of studies to ensure timely assignment and delivery to radiologists for review. • Ensure that all received imaging studies are correctly ordered, linked, and documented for accurate interpretation. • Document and process all hospital and external imaging as directed. • Monitor RIS, Clario, and other hospital systems to identify issues or delays, especially STAT studies requiring urgent interpretation.

Job Requirements

  • MINIMUM: High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical setting.
  • Preference is given to applicants with previous experience in Radiology practice.
