Job Description

Learning & Development Specialist – HRBP

Veryon

• Coordinate and support learning and development programs, including employee training, onboarding, compliance training, leadership development, and professional development initiatives. • Use Paylocity as Veryon’s HRIS and learning platform to support training assignments, tracking, reporting, employee data, and HR processes. • Support training logistics, including scheduling, communications, attendance tracking, materials, follow-ups, and reporting. • Help maintain learning content, employee resources, manager toolkits, and People Operations materials. • Partner with the People Operations team and business leaders to identify learning needs and support practical development solutions. • Support employee engagement and recognition programs, including Veryon’s use of Bonusly for rewards and recognition. • Provide HRBP support to employees and managers by helping answer questions, share resources, and support HR processes. • Assist with employee relations, performance management, and manager support under the guidance of senior People Operations team members. • Support performance management cycles, employee development planning, and employee engagement initiatives. • Partner with cross-functional People Operations team members on onboarding, offboarding, HRIS updates, reporting, compliance, and process improvements. • Use Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams to create materials, manage communications, host virtual meetings, and collaborate across teams. • Support global People Operations activities by occasionally adjusting working hours to connect with team members and stakeholders across Asia, the UK, and North America. • Use data, employee feedback, and AI-enabled tools to help improve People Operations programs and create a better employee experience. • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and care.

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Learning & Development, People Operations, Talent, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating training programs, onboarding, employee communications, HR programs, or employee engagement initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of HR practices, such as employee relations, performance management, onboarding, engagement, and manager support.
  • Experience using an HRIS, learning platform, or similar People Operations system.
  • Experience with Paylocity is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams or similar virtual meeting and collaboration tools.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and explain information in a simple, practical way.
  • Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with employees and leaders at different levels across the organization.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, take feedback, and grow within the People Operations function.
  • Flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours to support global team members, programs, or meetings across Asia, the UK, and North America.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience and excitement in using AI and emerging technology to improve learning, HR processes, and employee experience.
