Field Service Representative
EPC Power Corp.
• Provide maintenance, commissioning, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair services while working independently or in a dynamic team environment both on customer sites and remotely. • Ensure all customer expectations are met or exceeded. • Ensure all on-site activities are carried out in accordance with EPC Power’s recommendations and best practices. • Must have basic knowledge of methods and experience in the maintenance and operation of various types of equipment associated with the utility grid. • Accurately report and update all equipment histories. • Coordinate changes as needed to ensure minimal equipment downtime. • Ensure effective communication and reporting to immediate supervision and customers representatives. • Solve problems with little to no supervision in a timely manner. • Will be aware of procedures and options for identifying sources of information and technical advice. • Will have sufficient product knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, and make minor controls adjustments on components and systems. • Capable of reading applicable drawings and technical manuals. • Work in a productive and collaborative manner to support the Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing Teams. • Ensure all work complies with customer and EPC Power safety policies and procedures. • Ensures on-site safety by attending general safety, toolbox safety meetings, and all required safety trainings. • Provides suggestions for safety improvements. • Travel 25%-75% Other duties and responsibilities within the scope of position as needed or assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or similar technical field or years of experience troubleshooting/repairing electro-mechanical systems or equipment
- Some energy industry experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to understand and comply with all customer and EPC Power safety policies.
- Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft software.
- Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally overnight, as needed, up to 75% of the time (typically 25%)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well within a team and clearly communicate technical progress and challenges
- Ability to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual and hearing acuity required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a US Passport with 3 months of employment
- Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
- Candidates must be physically able to operate vehicles in a safely manner.
