• Drive financial strategy and operations across the Americas • Lead all accounting operations across the Americas region, including: Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close; General ledger and account reconciliations; Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Fixed Assets; Financial statement preparation and reporting; Internal controls and accounting policies • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including: Compliance with Group policies and US GAAP; Monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations; Financial analysis and commentary on significant variances; Coordination of internal and external audit requirements • Lead tax and statutory compliance activities across the Americas, including: Federal and state income taxes; Sales and use taxes; Payroll taxes; Property taxes and regulatory filings; Transfer pricing and intercompany compliance; Coordination with external tax advisors and auditors • Lead treasury and cash management activities, including: Cash forecasting and liquidity planning; Banking relationships and account administration; Working capital monitoring and optimization; Debt covenant compliance and lender reporting; Foreign exchange exposure monitoring and mitigation • Partner closely with the CFO and Finance leadership team, including: Supporting balance sheet and cash flow forecasting; Identifying risks and opportunities impacting financial performance; Supporting annual budgets and periodic forecasts; Providing financial analysis to support business decisions • Lead and develop the regional accounting organization, including: Recruiting, onboarding, and training team members; Goal setting and performance management; Cross-training and succession planning; Standardization of accounting processes and procedures • Drive finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, including: ERP optimization and automation; AI and digital tool adoption; Power BI and reporting enhancements; Process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives; Implementation of Group finance standards and best practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership roles
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity accounting organizations, including tax, treasury, and audits
  • Background in project-based, manufacturing, automation, engineering, or service businesses
  • Strong technical expertise in US GAAP, internal controls, financial governance, and working capital management
  • Solid systems experience with D365, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle, combined with advanced skills in Excel and Power BI
  • Experience working in an international environment is an advantage

Role Description This role, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer - APAC, will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, and ensuring statutory compliances, as well as communication of risk policies and processes across APAC markets. - Responsible for planning, executing, and finalising both Group and local audits in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve accounting and taxation statutory compliances within set deadlines. - Key contact point with Group auditors and Group Finance team in meeting the audit deliverables for the Group. - Collaborate closely with local finance teams to ensure local statutory audits are completed on a timely basis, involving hands-on data collection, analytical review, drawing up the audited report, and finalising audited report signing. - Partner with Group Legal and Co-Sec and Tax to complete required company filings and tax returns. - Draw up the reconciliation of the management result to audited accounts with clear explanation on reconciling transactions. - Assist with tracking, reconciliation, and/or review of audit adjustments posted into the monthly reporting results. - Review and implement compliance with the latest accounting standards, group policies and procedures, assisting in drawing the financial statements and developing appropriate financial statement disclosures. - Monitor and interpret emerging technical issues and their implications on the APAC region. - Responsible for deploying Group’s risk management processes and procedures and continuous compliance. - Work with Group Legal on Corporate Secretary related matters, dividend payments, leases, etc. - Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by reporting manager.
