Regional Financial Controller

OLIVER Agency - APAC

Role Description This role, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer - APAC, will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, and ensuring statutory compliances, as well as communication of risk policies and processes across APAC markets. - Responsible for planning, executing, and finalising both Group and local audits in collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve accounting and taxation statutory compliances within set deadlines. - Key contact point with Group auditors and Group Finance team in meeting the audit deliverables for the Group. - Collaborate closely with local finance teams to ensure local statutory audits are completed on a timely basis, involving hands-on data collection, analytical review, drawing up the audited report, and finalising audited report signing. - Partner with Group Legal and Co-Sec and Tax to complete required company filings and tax returns. - Draw up the reconciliation of the management result to audited accounts with clear explanation on reconciling transactions. - Assist with tracking, reconciliation, and/or review of audit adjustments posted into the monthly reporting results. - Review and implement compliance with the latest accounting standards, group policies and procedures, assisting in drawing the financial statements and developing appropriate financial statement disclosures. - Monitor and interpret emerging technical issues and their implications on the APAC region. - Responsible for deploying Group’s risk management processes and procedures and continuous compliance. - Work with Group Legal on Corporate Secretary related matters, dividend payments, leases, etc. - Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by reporting manager.
