QA Test Lead
Lifecycle Software
• Planning test resources as part of an agile delivery team • Conduct regular 1-2-1’s with the QA team to ensure they have clear guidance and support • Supporting and investigating internal and client/3rd party queries • Ensure estimation of testing effort is captured accurately for reporting /analysis • Guidance and support for testing regular releases including risk based and prioritised testing approach • Maintain clear communications with the delivery team, management and customers on testing deliverables • Understand our current systems’ functionality and how this helps our customers be successful. • Progressively improve our QA practices to eliminate waste and develop lean processes. • Enforce and promote SCRUM disciplines supporting our drive towards agile. • Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to write and develop user stories and acceptance criteria. • Participation in management of the product backlog including prioritisation with the Product Owners • Work with clients and Business Analysts to define requirements • Brainstorm with Lifecycle teams to identify the correct approach to new tasks • Ensure QA design tests, to ensure appropriate coverage • Identify and resolve errors • Produce relevant QA documentation as part of the testing lifecycle • Help our drive towards improved automation by ensuring a backlog of automation candidates are maintained • Capture QA metrics and provide analysis each release
Job Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of CRM systems
- Previous API testing experience
- SQL knowledge at a testing level
- Leading small QA teams remotely as part of an agile delivery approach
- Good understanding and appreciation of change management lifecycles and methodologies (Waterfall and Agile)
- Experience in handling risk and defect management with customers and suppliers
- Telecom experience desirable but not essential
- Experience in using Jira and Confluence tools or similar
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
- Attention to detail, curiosity, and a desire to consistently achieve the highest quality
- Ideally be ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Certificate Qualified
- Any Project Management methodologies e.g. APM, Prince2, ITIL, Scrum, Agile would be desirable.
