Role Description Laravel is looking for the next Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our, all-remote Laravel Cloud infrastructure team, focused on Private Cloud. For this role we're only considering applications in the EU timezones. We're on a mission to improve the experience of developers everywhere in the world. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience from similar roles, preferably working closely with large scale production systems. - Mastery of AWS and potentially other cloud providers. - Preferably, you have worked in large AWS environments, dealing with customer data in multi-account setups spread across multiple regions. - Experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and container orchestration as a whole. - Preferably, you have experience working with large clusters with customer data. - Preferably, you have experience building and maintaining Go-based K8s operators using tools such as Kubebuilder and Operator SDK. - Experienced and opinionated about logging, monitoring, alerting tooling, and processes. - Experienced and comfortable with using IaC in a team, enforcing sanity checks and policies to help us scale. - Knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, caching, and DNS management. - Being comfortable in a fast paced, evolving and all-remote environment. • Lead technical activities for the design, engineering, and construction of power plants utilizing natural gas reciprocating engines and/or gas turbines. • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for electrical systems associated with power generation facilities, including generator electrical interfaces, medium- and high-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, motor control, grounding, protective relaying, lighting, raceway, and plant auxiliary systems. • Set and document the electrical basis of design, develop the electrical scope of work, and define key system requirements and performance criteria. • Guide and review technical deliverables from external contractors; provide clear engineering inputs and participate in design, review, and coordination sessions. • Collaborate with other technical disciplines (mechanical, civil, controls, piping, and interconnection teams) to ensure project integration and completeness. • Support the procurement process by preparing electrical equipment specifications, contributing to vendor selection and technical evaluations, and making vendor recommendations. • Support contractor and vendor solicitation processes through development of technical scopes, review of bid packages, technical evaluation of proposals, and equipment recommendations. • Review engineering documents such as single-line diagrams, load lists, relay coordination studies, short-circuit studies, grounding studies, area classifications, design drawings, technical specifications, and analysis reports; participate actively in design and technical review meetings. • Ensure designs comply with applicable utility, grid interconnection, safety, and industry standards and support overall plant reliability, operability, and maintainability. • Effectively coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring adherence to schedule and quality standards. • Demonstrate deep technical understanding of power generation electrical systems and continuously monitor technological advancements relevant to natural gas power generation. • Support construction, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities related to plant electrical systems. • Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams and support the development of junior engineers through mentoring, coaching, and design guidance.

• Own and drive key components of the Unity VR client architecture so they generalize across training simulations and, over time, additional client targets, rather than serving a single application. • Build client-side infrastructure that connects to the server according to defined contracts and reflects server-owned state and behavior on the device. • Co-design the client-server API with the backend, defining the data contracts. • Develop tooling that supports content creators and other developers working on the platform. • Use AI coding assistants as part of day-to-day development, and build and maintain the pipelines and validation that make their output reliable. • Make pragmatic architectural decisions and manage technical priorities effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
