• Manage daily finance reconciliations across multiple channels and states • Develop a strong understanding of BetMGM’s revenue cycle and reporting process • Assist the Revenue Accounting team in performing month end reconciliations • Identify reconciling financial differences and take ownership of daily investigations • Work closely with the Business Intelligence team during variance investigations • Work closely with the Risk, Trading and Customer Operations teams during investigations • Provide support on all internal and external audit requests • Provide support to the wider finance team with ad-hoc requests as required
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Qualified, Part Qualified or visible evidence of working towards a CPA
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
- Ambitious self-starter, proactive and passionate about finance and business
- Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate, describe and explain
- Strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with, or interest in, SQL and data warehouse tools (e.g., Snowflake) to support data validation and investigation is a plus

Job Summary The Accounting and Tax Manager provides support for the SVP of Finance and Business Services and oversees the successful execution of the month end closing process including general ledger reconciliation accounts, accounts receivable, and other general ledger functions. Oversees of the day-to-day tasks of accounting professionals and remains hands-on in the execution of accounting functions as well as acting as a strategic thinker. The Accounting and Tax Manager also acts as Maptek North America’s tax expert focusing on US and Canada entities ensuring timely, accurate and compliant tax calculations, preparation, and filing. Provide guidance to the company maximizing retained cash and minimizing taxes/penalties/interest/audit risk. This position will focus on federal, state/provincial, and local jurisdictions. This position will be a combination of both strategic and in-the-weeds detail focus. The Accounting and Tax Manager is expected to serve as a model example of their profession, works with others in the department/company, facilitate timely/accurate work with tax authorities/partners, and timely monitor/resolve issues. The Manager, Tax manages the preparation, review, and filing of all tax provisions and compliance requirements and ensures adherence to applicable laws and regulations. This role manages the company’s relationship with various external tax advisors and preparers with respect to tax return preparation and review of income and transaction tax provisions and compliance. The Manager is responsible for accurate and complete tax-related financial reporting. The Manager is responsible to gather tax-related data, perform technical analyses, and resolve tax-related issues, prepare tax-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and prepare tax disclosures. This role oversees the income tax depreciation module in Oracle, including methodologies, calculations, and forecasting. The Manager, Tax supports financial reporting requirements including 10-Q and 10-K tax disclosures, managing audit activity, and maintaining documentation of tax processes, procedures, and internal controls in compliance with SOX 404 requirements.
