• Overall ship's command and responsibility to ensure safety of crew, passengers and environmental protection • Responsible for the occupational health, safety and welfare of the crew, and the safety of passengers • Responsible for the compliance with the International regulations and company safe practices and policies • Ensure that all Officers and Crew are familiar with the Company's Management System • Ensure that a robust Safety & Health culture and Environmental and Energy Efficiency awareness is encouraged and maintained • Ensure that safety and efficiency are maintained onboard

Job Requirements

  • Valid COC (STCW Reg II/2) with verification
  • Valid STCW certifications required for the position
  • Excellent knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and other maritime regulations
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and crisis management skills
  • Advanced English level; additional languages are an asset and recommended
  • Safety culture and mindset
  • Experience with multicultural working environment
  • Substantial experience as Captain or Staff Captain on large cruise ships, with Azipod propulsion systems
  • Experience in worldwide itinerary
