Role Description We are seeking a Junior Web Developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Application Modernization to join our dynamic team. The position will play a critical role in the modernization of the Delivery Operations Information System (DOIS) for GDIT's client. The Web Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining user interfaces for the DOIS modernization project for USPS, and embedding Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities within the modernized application. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, preferred but not required. - If there is no relevant college degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required. - 3+ years of experience in web development with a strong focus on responsive design. - Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks and libraries such as Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Must have experience with AI tools, particularly GitHub Copilot, for code generation and optimization. - Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies (AWS). - Strong understanding of web security practices and standards. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Salary Information The likely salary range for this position is $74,800 - $101,200. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
