Senior Specialist – PLS-CADD

• Drive adoption and use of the PLS-CADD software suite • Create, implement, and manage internal PLS-CADD standards • Support integration initiatives with related software such as FAD, AutoCAD, and MicroStation for project delivery • Evaluate new project delivery-related features, including PLS-GRID • Promote the use of efficiency and integration tools to improve digital workflows • Establish and maintain PLS‑CADD standards, templates, and libraries • Co-leads development and support of internal PLS-CADD design companion tools • Partners with the QA/QC team assist in evaluation of and increasing adherence to the company standards of project documentation • Partner closely with leadership and project teams within the Transmission & Distribution department • Create written technology evaluations and budgets for future technology adoption • Provide fundamental, intermediate, and advanced training on software processes, best practices, and use cases • Assist project teams in PLS-CADD project setup and execution planning
Job Requirements
- An associate's degree in drafting, architectural, engineering design, or a related field is required
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience or equivalent utilizing the PLS-CADD software suite preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent in a CAD leadership role, including process and standards development
- Advanced expertise within PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE is required
- Experience in the Transmission & Distribution industry is required
- Strong computer, technical, and communication skills are required
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation software is preferred
- Experience with project delivery software such as ProjectWise is preferred
- Knowledge of GIS, LiDAR, and surveying preferred
- Programming, scripting, or automation experience is a plus.
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
