Business Development Manager

• Build, manage, and coach a team of SDRs responsible for daily inbound and outbound prospecting into a defined ICP, ensuring consistent attainment of activity targets (dials), meetings set, meetings held, and meetings qualified by Account Executives, while driving a high-performance culture grounded in accountability and continuous improvement. • Design and enforce a disciplined inbound and outbound operating model, including call frameworks, sequencing strategy, and qualification standards, ensuring that meetings generated meet clear thresholds and convert efficiently into accepted pipeline. • Own performance management and reporting across the BDR function, establishing clear scorecards and dashboards that track leading indicators (activity) and lagging outcomes (meetings set and qualified), and using data to identify gaps, coach individuals, and optimize team output. • Use data and reporting to keep managerial stakeholders informed and aligned. • Partner cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, AEs, Marketing, and CRM Admins to align on ICP targeting, messaging, lead flow.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- A minimum of five years of experience in one or more of the following; outbound sales, business development or outside sales.
- Preferred: prior management experience but not required.
- Proven experience leading SDR or inside sales teams in high-volume outbound environments with clear activity and conversion targets.
- Ability to operationalize, and manage funnel metrics and manage to SDR compensation models tied to dials, meetings set, meetings held, and meetings qualified.
- Strong command of inbound and outbound prospecting strategy including ICP definition, sequencing, messaging, and call coaching.
- Demonstrated success in executing accountability systems, scorecards, and daily/weekly operating cadences partnering with AEs to improve meeting quality, meeting conversion / acceptance.
- High proficiency in CRM and sales engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SalesLoft) with strong reporting discipline.
- Data-driven mindset with ability to diagnose performance gaps and implement targeted improvements quickly.
