Senior Data Scientist

Extractta

• Conduct exploratory analyses of large volumes of transactional and behavioral data to uncover actionable insights and business opportunities. • Build and deploy machine learning and deep learning models that solve real-world problems, such as fraud detection, recommendation systems, credit risk analysis, purchase propensity, and churn prediction, among others. • Validate hypotheses through controlled experiments using A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis. • Collaborate with Product Owners and engineers to translate business problems into robust, scalable analytical solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Machine Learning: experience with machine learning models in production environments, understanding the challenges of building scalable solutions for real-world settings.
  • Programming: proficiency in Python with libraries such as pandas, numpy, and matplotlib; experience with SQL for handling large volumes of data.
  • Statistics: strong foundation in descriptive and inferential statistics, hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, and probability concepts, as well as A/B experimentation methodologies.
  • Data Mining: ability to explore and extract insights from complex datasets, identify patterns and anomalies, and work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources.
  • Data Storytelling: ability to communicate technical results and insights through clear presentations and effective visualizations for diverse audiences, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Spark for distributed processing.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks and deploying models to production (MLOps).
