Job Description

Project Cost Analyst

GE Vernova

• Develop and execute cost execution plans (e.g., cost curves) by function. • Generate weekly and monthly detailed cost reports by project scope. • Monitor budget line items weekly and identify variances for escalation and mitigation. • Maintain budget version control to ensure all agreed changes are reflected in the forecast. • Collaborate with budget owners to estimate Cost to Complete based on actual costs, commitment costs, and potential variation orders. • Work closely with the scheduler to align project schedules with cost curves. • Prepare for PMR reviews on a quarterly/bi-annual basis with the business. • Conduct risk & opportunity analyses and monitor project risks. • Support the creation and implementation of new cost controlling mechanisms and structures. • Track variance to budget of approved change orders (actual vs planned spend).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or economics.
  • Proven experience in cost analysis, project management, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management software.
