Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine
Role Description Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines that involve data from Last Mile Orthopedics Supply Chain domain. Integrate data from diverse sources, including but not limited to, databases, external file systems, APIs, ensuring data consistency and reliability. - Develop and maintain data models and schemas that support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analytics. - Manage and optimize databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. - Lead SDLC project deployment process by reviewing system architecture, ensuring automation of end-to-end data pipe, and performing code peer reviews by incorporating industry standard best practices. - Manage testing phase (unit test, system test), project deployment activities, and create technical documentation while collaborating with Scrum team and SQA, all within an Agile framework. - Mentor junior data engineers, providing guidance on coding best practices and data pipeline design to streamline development. - Demonstrated business knowledge in Last Mile Orthopaedic Supply Chain processes: - Field inventory and production management in supply chain - Inventory Entitlement & Allocation Models - Inventory re-allocation & reverse logistics models - Backorder & STEM processes - Product Lifecycle Management - Product Cannibalization - Fixed Asset Construction in Progress Cost Tracking - Supply Attainment - Build and manage Azure VPC architecture to create a robust, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that enables seamless end-to-end automated data flow. - Leverage Azure technology stack to redesign sustainable and cost-effective solutions. - Supervise projects that include complex data pipeline integration, providing innovative alternatives for their construction and optimization. - Leverage git branching strategies to improve collaboration, streamline code reviews, and optimize deployment in data workflows. May telecommute from within Florida. Qualifications - Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Business Analytics and Information Systems, or related field. - 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Senior Data Engineer-related occupation. Requirements - Experience with data architecture, data modelling, data integration and data engineering tools - Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Prophecy IO, Alteryx, Apache Nifi, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and Oracle Service Bus. - Programming languages: PySpark, SQL, Python, and R. - SQL optimization and database management systems: MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift, SQLite, and Azure SQL. - Cloud platforms: Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and Google Cloud Platform. - UX and UI design and development of Business Intelligence data visualization and exploration tools using Power BI, Tableau, and Qlik. - Agile SDLC including scrums, sprints, and retrospectives. - DevOps tools and practices including Jenkins and Terraform. - Atlassian tools: Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence. - Transactional ERP systems: SAP OTC, SAP B2B, JDE 8.12, SAP Anspach, and planning systems APO/OMP. - Managing Azure VPC resources, network settings - subnets, private endpoints, and security groups for secure, scalable cloud environment. - API Integration, including RESTful and SOAP services, authentication, and error handling. - Data cataloging tool: Oval Edge. - Last Mile Supply Chain Data Engineering. - Orthopedic Last Mile Supply Chain processes including Field inventory and production management in supply chain, entitlement, safety stock, inventory re-allocation, backorder, product lifecycle management, product cannibalization, capital expenditure and Construct in Progress, and supply attainment.
