PET/CT Coordinator

RadNet

Role Description As a PET/CT Coordinator at RadNet, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century. Your responsibilities will include: - Reviewing all clinical documentation for costly PET isotopes including Axumin® and NETSPOT® for both east and west coast. - Compiling clinical notes, pathology, lab, and prior imaging to create clinical summaries for Dr. Rose to review for a payable indication and for radiologist’s dictation. - Tracking clinical information and assessments for future publications and CMS decisions. - Coordinating Cancer Research Collaboration case assignments and ensuring appropriate reading criteria and reporting structure are used in reference to clinical trial guidelines. - Coordinating PET/CT protocols, tracers, and other new technologies with Dr. Rose. - Working directly with local tumor board coordinators to compile clinical information for review. - Assisting radiologists with identifying clinical documentation and imaging to construct presentations. - Assisting all BRMG Medical Directors on peer review submissions and entries across all modalities. - Coordinating radiologist recruitment for all PET/CT and assisting with other modalities. - Covering all positions within the physician’s division if needed. - Demonstrating competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information. - Safeguarding any on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. - Demonstrating respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals. - Being responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. - Demonstrating respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions. - Interacting diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting. - Establishing, nurturing, and maintaining cooperative working relationships. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in clinical or science-related area or equivalent experience preferred. - College coursework/experience in sciences and experience with collection of research data, clinical project design, and methodology preferred. - High level of computer literacy using Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - Strong interpersonal/communication skills to interact effectively with physicians, nurses, patients and their families, and study sponsors, both verbally and via written reports and communications. - High level of detail orientation. This position will have oversight of all Human Resource functions for their team, including but not limited to hiring, terminations and performance management. Essential Job Functions: - Supervises the daily workflow of the department, monitoring progress to identify trends in denied payments by insurance companies, determining trends in unpaid claims and remediation solutions. Reviews Leadership No Touch Report if available to ensure all high dollar accounts are reviewed monthly. Reviews action logs daily and completed action logs pending to be verified. - Conducts team huddles to efficiently cover new or evolving training focuses to encourage and develop team members, including sharing identified trends and solutions on unpaid and denied claims. Leads Team DIBS meetings and provides recap to team and leaders. - Ensures adherence to the departmental budget, including overtime. Prepare monthly reports as requested. Meets with all associates 1:1 monthly to review current performance.
