Blade Data Capture Specialist, External Drone Pilot
Zeitview
• Conduct drone inspections of wind turbine blades and other infrastructure in accordance with safety protocols and SOPs • Complete image and data capture missions with a high degree of precision and minimal defects • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot remote-controlled equipment in varied field conditions • Meet data capture performance expectations to include rate of capture completion, data management, quality of imagery, safety performance metrics, and project communication • Conduct training of new Data Capture Specialists or Contractors based on employee’s proficiency • Maintain high safety standards during all operations in alignment with industry best practices, company policy, and regulatory requirements • Comply with and maintain applicable product specific certifications and qualifications such as: EASA A1/A3, STS (Standard Scenario), GWO • Assist in forecasting equipment needs and planning site logistics in coordination with Operations Coordinators • Maintain and update mission status using internal tools to ensure visibility for stakeholders • Communicate effectively with local site contacts to understand project requirements and constraints
Job Requirements
- Experience with wind turbine inspections and complex data capture techniques
- EASA A1/A3 Global Wind Organization training certifications or willing to complete courses
- STS (Standard Scenario) is ideal but not required
- Includes 75%-100% domestic travel in support of operations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while also meeting rigid deadlines
- The ability to adapt to different working environments is essential
- Experience with implementing and managing client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams and individuals and come to a consensus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to lift 50 lbs easily
- Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Be willing to work at heights
- Able to work in outside environments year-round
