Role Description We are searching for a highly motivated, experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role offers a unique opportunity for high visibility and meaningful interaction with various departments across our organization. In this position, your primary focus will be to take ownership of key parts of the month-end close, leading initiatives aimed at enhancing the speed and accuracy of our reporting cycle. Qualifications - Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA is preferred. - Has a minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment, SAAS industry preferred. - Must have a strong knowledge of US GAAP. - Has 1-2 years of experience with a large regional or Big Four audit firm, preferred. - Has multi-entity experience with multi-currency international consolidations. - Has strong systems expertise. Experience with Netsuite is a plus and ideally has experience in other tools in our accounting stack (Tipalti, Ramp, Avalara). - Has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple priorities. - Has a track record of identifying issues and developing creative solutions with limited guidance, and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing circumstances. - Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization. Responsibilities - Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations with superior attention to detail. - Partner with Accounts Payable teams to ensure the accuracy of information recorded in the financial statements as it relates to expense recognition, accruals, sales tax, prepaid expenses, fixed assets & intangibles, and lease accounting. - Proactively review GL transaction details throughout the month to streamline month-end close timelines, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of information recorded. - Prepare timely and accurate information to support financial audits, monthly close packages, and quarterly financial review packages. - Assist in identifying opportunities for accounting process efficiencies. - Implement and document processes and procedures for compliance purposes. - Support cross-department efforts and build relationships with other teams including accounting, FP&A, IT, People, and legal. The ideal candidate has strong industry experience and has worked inside high-growth companies where accounting decisions must be made in real time, with imperfect information, evolving systems, and cross-functional dependencies. This person should be a technical accounting thinker who understands ASC 606, can evaluate customer programs, determine appropriate revenue treatment, document conclusions, and work closely with Finance, Data, Product, and Operations.
