CAD, Graphic Designer
Comfrt
• Design unique prints and patterns that align with the Comfrt aesthetic • Develop graphic concepts across a range of apparel categories, including Logo, License and Non Logo content. • Develop product packaging • Collaborate with the design and production teams to brainstorm and develop new ideas • Identify and interpret relevant fashion and market trends through research and social listening • Maintain a strong understanding of the Comfrt brand aesthetic, customer, and market trends, with a sharp eye for color, print, pattern, and graphic direction relevant to the category. • Conduct ongoing trend research across fashion, graphics, home, retail, and cultural spaces to help drive new print, pattern, and packaging concepts. • Develop original graphics, prints, and repeat patterns while understanding how artwork translates across various product categories, materials, and fabrications. • Partner with factories and cross-functional teams to provide clear artwork direction and ensure graphic execution, print quality, scale, placement, and application methods are commercially viable and aligned with design intent. • Communicate directly with vendors, provide timely strike-off comments, and ensure artwork executes accurately • Maintain organized digital files and archives of all designs • Present artwork and communicate creative vision to cross-functional partners and senior leadership
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related field — or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in graphic and/or CAD design, preferably within apparel or a global retailer
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Strong eye for color, composition, typography, and concept development
- Possess a strong understanding of graphic and print application techniques across different fabric types, including limitations and opportunities within garment wash, dye, print, embroidery, and specialty applications.
- Understand factory production capabilities and application methods to proactively problem-solve during development and support efficient execution from concept through production.
- Versatile artwork range, with the ability to execute across a broad spectrum of design styles — from elaborate plaids, camo, watercolor, and scenic illustrations to simple dots, stripes, and clean graphics
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and effectively manage workload with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting business needs and timelines.
- Proven ability to multitask across graphic design, print development, packaging, trend research, and cross-functional collaboration while maintaining high quality execution.
- A collaborative, positive team player who is open to feedback and thrives with cross-functional partners
- Strong presentation and communication skills
