Role Description We are looking for a high-performance Video Editor to join one of Eastern Ontario’s fastest-growing digital marketing agencies. This is not just a role for a "cutter"—we need a visual storyteller who understands the science of high-retention content and the grit of the blue-collar industry. You will be responsible for engineering viral short-form content, analyzing performance data, and elevating the creative output of a fast-paced media department. Key Responsibilities - Edit high-impact video content that captures the authentic, hardworking energy of trades-based businesses. - Drive organic virality by engineering content designed to hook viewers instantly and sustain high retention. - Analyze content performance metrics to refine pacing, hooks, and music choices based on actual viewer data. - Manage post-production workflows for both photo and video projects with a focus on speed and brand consistency. - Collaborate with a team of two other dedicated editors to run creative workshops and push the department's output quality. - Brainstorm with account managers and designers to deliver high-converting assets for social media and advertising. - Execute an efficient workflow maintaining an output of 5-10 videos per day without sacrificing creative standards. Qualifications - 4+ years of professional experience in video and photo production, preferably in an agency setting. - Proven track record of generating organic reach and understanding social media algorithms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts). - Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the Creative Cloud suite, including Lightroom. - Highly analytical mindset with an understanding of watch time, CTR, and psychology-driven hooks. - Leadership qualities and a willingness to mentor and collaborate with other creative team members. - Deep curiosity or alignment with the blue-collar and trades industries. - Strong organizational skills using Google Workspace for file management and project collaboration.
